Artists, it’s okay to put yourself first. Selflessness sounds good in theory, but too much in practice can be detrimental to your growth. Finding the right balance is crucial to your personal success.
My dad used to remind me that you can’t take care of others if you don’t take care of yourself first. And the older I get, the more and more I realize how true these words are.
